We are looking for an exceptional Head of English and Literacy to lead our whole‑school approach to English from Year 7 through to Sixth Form.
This is a key leadership role for an experienced, passionate educator who can shape strategic direction, inspire colleagues, and champion high‑quality teaching for students with dyslexia.
The successful candidate will drive the development of an ambitious curriculum, ensure consistently excellent classroom practice, and promote a culture of literacy that enables every learner to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Reporting to the Headmaster, you will lead a committed team and play a major part in supporting the school’s vision and academic standards.
This is a full‑time position working Monday to Friday, 8am–5.30pm (44 hours per week). Outside term‑time, you may be required to work up to 11 full days per year including INSET; any days worked in excess of your pro‑rated entitlement will be paid in addition at your normal daily rate.
