As we continue to grow, were looking to recruit an experienced MET Technician to join our talented team based in Rayleigh.
The Role
As a MET Technician, youll ensure that all motor vehicle repairs are carried out to the highest industry and manufacturer standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Inspecting and reporting on vehicle structure and paintwork
* Ensuring all vehicles meet safety standards before returning to customers
* Safely removing, storing, and disposing of vehicle components, fluids, and gases
* Reassembling vehicles post-repair with precision and thorough quality checks
* Performing 4-wheel alignments as required
* Completing quality control checks, final sign-off, and ATA signatures
* Reporting any faults or defects found during repair
* Maintaining and caring for tools, equipment, and work areas
* Following correct repair methods, ensuring documentation is accurate and visible
* Conducting vehicle safety checks, beam settings, and noting all warnings on job cards
* Ensuring mechanical work meets specification, including torqueing all safety-critical bolts
* Maintaining workshop cleanliness (seat covers, mats, returned parts in order)
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, youll need:
* Minimum 5 years experience in body repair of motor vehicles
* Auto electrical qualifications and hands-on experience
* Knowledge of computerised alignment systems
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong mechanical and suspension knowledge
* Recognised Aircon and Encapsulated Glass training (preferred)
* A team-oriented attitude, flexibility, and a can-do approach
* Accountability, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
