MAIN ROLE
* To provide direct support to all Time Out Group membership enabling our members to make informed choices, gain greater independence and take control over their lives and enjoyment. You will be required to join in on all our activities and encourage member participation. To provide support to Activities Coordinators and Volunteers in sessions.
AREAS OF WORK, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main responsibilities and duties
To work as a full and effective member of Time Out Group
* Treat each member as an individual respecting both privacy and dignity and contribute to high standards of quality and support.
* Talking to our members about the types of activities they'd like to do and putting that in to action with members, Activities Coordinators, and wider team.
* Organising and planning activities that are tailored to the needs and abilities of individuals, as well as group activities that will bring individuals together. Using your life experience to assist members in making meaningful decisions.
* Play and active role in the team and be seen as a role model for our volunteers and members.
* Being the lead person for trips out in the local community, Hub and Outreach venues, considering and planning transport arrangements and accessibility. Preparing risk assessments for activities.
* Assisting people to take part in activities wherever possible. This could be on a sports session, in the community, Outreach, or in-house activity at our permanent premises in Handforth.
* To maintain a broad understanding of the work of Time Out Group as a whole, and actively contribute your ideas for the improvement of service provision.
* To ensure your own actions contribute to the maintenance of a quality service provision and values.
* To be responsible for the self-development of skills and competencies through participation in mandatory and other training and development activities to maintain up to date technical and professional knowledge relevant to the post.
* To maintain good and appropriate communication with others, including the direction and support of Activities Coordinators and volunteers in sessions.
* To hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle and be available to travel across Cheshire East and surrounding areas e.g. Cheshire West and Greater Manchester. (travel milage expenses will be paid).
* To adhere to all Time Out Groups policies and procedures.

Essential criteria
* At least two years of experience of working directly with people who are learning diverse, or autistic people in a health and social care setting, or another relevant role.
* Have experience of delivering group activities and 1-1 support.
* Experience of guiding a team either as a team leader or other supporting role.
* Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle

Experience of supporting Volunteers.
The employee should be prepared to perform other duties that may be necessary from time to time, falling within the remit of responsibility of this post and appropriate under the charitable objects and development plan.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £13.58 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
