An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Deputy Ward Manager: Eating Disorder, at an exceptional mental health hospital in Preston, Lancashire. This hospital specializes in managing and treating acute mental health issues and eating disorders.
Requirements: Must be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with an active NMC Pin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate, promote, and supervise education, clinical practices, and audits.
* Manage the clinical area in the absence of the Ward Manager.
* Oversee assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
* Identify and contribute to training needs.
* Promote equality, diversity, and rights in practice.
* Ensure effective communication pathways.
* Operate as the operational lead alongside the Ward Manager for inpatient care.
* Support and facilitate group programs for service users.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Clinical supervision experience.
* Commitment to CPD and leadership development.
* Good computer skills.
* Experience in acute mental health settings.
* At least 18 months or equivalent post-registration experience.
* Mentorship experience is desirable; training can be provided.
Salary and Benefits:
£43,014 - £46,314 per annum, with a £5,000 Welcome Bonus. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include:
