Crave is an ambitious, independent restaurant in the heart of Exeter, known for bold flavours, high-quality ingredients, and a passionate team. We’re looking for a Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen and play a key role in driving standards, creativity, and consistency.
This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone ready to step up and help shape a growing kitchen.
*What you’ll be doing:*
* Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Leading service with confidence and maintaining high standards under pressure
* Training, mentoring, and developing junior chefs
* Ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes
* Managing stock, ordering, and minimising waste
* Upholding food safety and hygiene standards
*What we’re looking for:*
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
* Passion for fresh, quality food and seasonal menus
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
