An opportunity to join a skilled team of Inclusion/SEND Advisory Teachers, providing advice to schools to meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs. Successful candidates will work across educational settings and provisions, to develop inclusive practice for pupils with; social communication needs, social emotional mental health and learning support needs.
We are looking for candidates with knowledge and experience of pupils with identified needs of SEMH and ASD/Social communication in particular, to ensure a balance of knowledge and experience across the cluster team. However our advisory teachers work with cluster team colleagues to provide advice in relation to all areas of need.
The successful candidate will also have:
1. The ability to fulfil teacher standards as well as adhere to the SEN Code of Practice, providing a graduated response to pupils with SEND.
2. The ability to provide specialist support and advice to pupils, schools, families and other agencies with respect to children and young people with additional needs.
3. The ability to use assessments and observations to identify a range of needs and provide strategies to enhance inclusive provision.
4. Who can promote and support the achievement of all children through work with officers, agencies, schools, families and pupils where support is required to ensure inclusion of needs.
The successful candidate will work across the Local authority and support in the integrated resource settings we have across the authority
The post is FTE teacher pay and conditions (27.5 hours)
