An outstanding Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Redbridge is looking for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join their team on a long-term basis. This position is perfect for practitioners who have completed their competency framework and are confident supporting pupils with a broad range of communication and learning needs.
Role Overview: Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)
* Provide high-quality speech and language therapy for pupils with diverse SEN profiles.
* Carry out assessments, develop tailored therapy plans, and deliver targeted interventions.
* Track and evaluate pupil progress, adapting support strategies when needed.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
* Offer guidance and training to school staff to enhance communication outcomes.
* Play an active role in fostering an inclusive, positive, and nurturing school environment.
Person Specification: Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)
* Fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist who has completed the competency framework.
* Previous experience within UK school or SEN settings is desirable.
* Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, and delivery for complex communication needs.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative school team.
* Professional, flexible, and passionate about improving pupils’ communication and learning outcomes.
Hours and Banding Options
* Band 6: 3 days per week
* Band 5: Full time
* Long-term assignment with potential for a permanent contract
