Overview

CGL North Northamptonshire has an exciting new post and is looking for a Quality Lead to join our team.

The post holder will be integral to ensuring a high‑quality service is delivered across all sites. Working as part of the leadership team, the Quality Lead will create and undertake regular and cyclical audits of all aspects of service delivery, collate areas of best practice, implement quality improvement plans and evaluate impact. The role will involve observed practice, staff coaching, and designing and delivering training and workshop sessions, embedding the CGL learning culture within the service and implementing actions to reduce likelihood of re‑occurrence.

This role will also work closely with operational teams to support the learning process for the Northants Drug and Alcohol Related Death panel and will track, provide and monitor reports from the coroners office and other partners for multi‑disciplinary case reviews, providing feedback at meetings and disseminating learning.

Location: Kettering

Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent


Responsibilities

* Improve quality by creating and undertaking regular, cyclical audits of all aspects of service delivery and governance.
* Identify areas of good practice and areas that need improvement and formulate robust plans.
* Implement plans with all relevant staff and set up evaluation mechanisms to understand what works and assess impact.
* Ensure effective observed practice, coaching, and design and delivery of training and workshop sessions.
* Coordinate integrated quality audits across all service areas in line with the organisational audit cycle.
* Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure effective identification, assessment and management of risk, compliance with legislation and policy.
* Ensure effective investigations of all incidents and disseminate learning throughout the service.
* Collate lessons learned quarterly, identify themes and patterns, and feed into the overall service quality improvement plan and contract monitoring reporting.
* Produce timely reports to improve outcomes for service users.


About You


Education, Knowledge and Experience

* Experience in Social Care and the Drug & Alcohol sector, with strong knowledge of the recovery ethos.
* Background in project development, change management, and use of quality management systems.
* Skilled in root cause analysis for serious incident investigations.
* Proficient in audits and service reviews to drive evaluation and improvement.
* Experience working within regulated services, including knowledge of CQC regulations and Key Lines of Enquiry.
* Confident in delivering training to diverse groups using coaching and interactive methods.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures for children and vulnerable adults.
* Proven ability to analyse and cross‑reference data sources to inform conclusions and improvement priorities.
* Experience influencing stakeholders at all levels through clear, persuasive communication.
* Able to evaluate the impact of change, lead improvement processes, and promote CGL’s values through action.

Salary Range (pro rata if part time)

CGL points 31 to 33 (£35,220.59 - £37,184.90)
