We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Budget Analysts at the 422nd Civil Engineering Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Croughton, United Kingdom
What will be your primary role?
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a resource's advisor/budget analyst, performing day-to-day control and management involving the formulation, execution, and/or analysis of the organization's budget and funding requirements. You will be primarily responsible for the reimbursement program but provide support to the O&M and MFH Resource Advisors, serving as the point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues. You will work with the 501st Support Agreements Manager to review, amend and justify support provided, and funding amounts for all support agreements and memorandums of agreement, utilizing the relevant databases available. In addition, you will perform budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds, providing advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducting analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?
1. Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute assigned budget in support of the mission, structure, goals, work processes, and programs of assigned activities/organizations.
2. Knowledge of automated data processing software programs and capabilities used to accomplish budget/funding tasks.
3. Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing source of factual information, such as that found in accounting reports, payroll records, work reports, or inventory and supply data.
4. Skill in preparing written forms, schedules, and reports related to the obligation and expenditures of funds.
5. Ability to make oral presentations on the budget and conduct budget-related training to a variety of audiences.

1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
5. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a fixed schedule (Mon-Fri, where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies.
7. You will safeguard classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
8. You may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends.
9. The work requires you to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
10. This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
