About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to manage the Panel and Assessment process in line with Fostering Services Standards & Regulations and the internal standards of the Compass Community.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience or a strong understanding of the assessment process and the functions of the fostering panel.
You will supervise assessments and maintain contact with assessing social workers to ensure assessments are completed to a high standard and within set timescales.
You will sit as the Panel Advisor, ensuring the Fostering Panel operates transparently and cohesively, with evidenced decision-making. You will also monitor panel timetables to ensure efficiency and compliance with group requirements.
Your responsibilities include monitoring and updating Management Information Systems, maintaining accurate records, and producing reports.
You will contribute to the recruitment and training of Assessing Social Workers and Panel Members, supporting the ongoing development of the service.
Flexibility and excellent communication skills are essential. You must be able to use your initiative and work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure the smooth operation of the service.
