Job Summary

We are excited to grow our Customer Care team in Peterborough. As a Customer Care Associate, you will be on the front line, the face of our business, helping customers manage their financial wellbeing. You’ll answer inbound calls, support customers in using the Aegon Platform, and ensure high satisfaction.


Responsibilities

* Answer inbound calls and assist customers in managing their pensions, savings, and investments via the Aegon Platform.
* Listen to customers’ needs, communicate clearly, and use straightforward language to resolve queries.
* Take ownership of customer issues and work flexibly to meet expectations.
* Participate in the Customer Care Training Academy and apply new skills to deliver exceptional service.


Qualifications

* Experience in customer service (contact centre, face‑to‑face, retail, hospitality, or similar).
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
* Empathy and the ability to put yourself in a customer’s shoes, taking ownership of issues.
* Flexibility to work within the defined shift pattern (8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday‑Friday).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.


Job Details

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid: in‑office at least 40% of time). Salary: £26,228 per annum, with potential to increase through our Pay Progression Scheme to up to £33,240. Working pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (shift times 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday‑Friday). Training

Comprehensive, hands‑on training for the first 3 months in our Peterborough office to set you up for success.
