Job Description
The Electrical Journeyman executes solar PV system installations, following the lead of the Electrical Foreman. This position undertakes both aboveground and underground electrical work as directed. This is a hands-on position in the field for all solar projects in the United States. Candidates for this position must be willing to travel to assigned jobsites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Participate in daily toolbox talks and/or the Construction Manager’s morning meeting.
2. Follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and practices.
3. Adhere to all Company and industry standards and regulations.
4. Ensure good housekeeping throughout the site.
5. Complete Safety Observation Cards (minimum of 1 per week).
6. Follow all safety protocols.
7. Develop and maintain a positive company image, both internally with fellow employees and with customers.
8. Responsible for the upkeep of all company-issued tools and equipment.
9. Demonstrate leadership skills and be able to lead a team of apprentices and laborers.
10. Monitor Safety, Quality, and Efficiency of scheduled work for the day.
11. Mentor junior crew members.
12. Provide material requests to the Electrical Foreman.
13. Ensure work meets all applicable codes, specifications, and is installed per plan set.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of electrical installation experience.
* Solar experience highly preferred.
* Journeyman electrician license or verified experience.
* NFPA 70 certification highly preferred.
* OSHA 10 certification.
* Ability to read construction drawings, diagrams, and develop a working plan for implementation of design.
* Knowledge of connecting and installing AC and DC power supply systems.
* Experience with electrical testing such as IRT, Multi-Meter use, Fall of Potential, and Continuity.
* Basic math skills and reading comprehension.
* Ability to read and understand written instructions and simple processes.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
* Valid driver’s license.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Demonstrated competence necessary to perform the work.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
* Work is performed both in an office and field environment.
* Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
* Will be required to perform physical labor.
* Requires travel and overnight stays.
