A multi-site consumer business who are experiencing incredible growth and have sights of doubling revenues in the next 12-18 months, largely through M&A are currently looking to hire a Financial Controller. You will gain maximum exposure across the business and regular interaction with ExCo.
Some of the responsibilities of the successful Group Financial Controller:
* Own the integrity and control of the Group's financial statements
* Design, implement, and continuously improve the financial control framework across the business
* Ensure robust internal controls, governance, and risk management processes are in place and operating effectively
* Lead the business through annual audits and act as the primary contact for external auditors
* Oversee preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
* Own and develop the Group's accounting policies and technical position papers
* Own and enhance the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
* Oversee management reporting across financing entities and the wider Group
* Assist in the M&A process from a Financial Control perspective, being the ‘go to’ for this.
Ideal experience and professional background of the successful Group Financial Controller:
* ACA/ACCA Qualified accountant
* 5+ Years post qualified experience
* Proven experience in financial control, audit ownership and maintaining a robust control environment
* Can do attitude and someone who can eventually lead a high performing team
