CNC Turner (JO0000015661) Bristol, England
Salary: GBP32448 per annum. 33 days holiday, pension, parking.
Due to retirement, this friendly and established subcontract workshop offers an opportunity to join their team as a CNC turner. A manual turner may also be of interest. The role reports to the machining supervisor.
Responsibilities
* Run an XYZ turning machine with Proturn controls.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Manage workload with jobs allocated from the machining supervisor.
* Machine precision engineering parts, producing small batches and one‑offs to fine tolerances (not normally aerospace).
* Manual turning is useful but not essential.
Qualifications
* Experience producing machined parts from engineering drawings.
* Strong manual turning skills give flexibility to focus on manual work rather than CNC.
* Have completed an engineering apprenticeship as a skilled machinist, or have sufficient time in machining to demonstrate a suitable track record in CNC turning or manual machining.
