Operations Director
Based near Oxford, this principal construction contractor has a strong reputation for delivering high‑end interior fit‑out and new build projects across the Commercial Office and Light Industrial sectors. Project values typically range from £1 million to £25 m and are delivered across the Home Counties and into the Midlands. To support the next growth phase, the board is seeking to appoint an Operations Director.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and mentor an experienced, commercially savvy PM team.
* Collaborate closely with a diverse, high‑calibre client base.
* Manage large construction project teams and multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
* Provide client account and project planning experience.
* Ensure strong commercial management and contractual awareness in delivery of construction projects.
Essential qualifications
* Degree qualified in a construction related discipline.
* Experience working as a Senior Operations Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or Operations Director within a construction contractor.
* Substantial experience in Commercial Office and Light Industrial sectors.
* Experience dealing with clients at Director level.
* Experience managing large construction project teams.
* Client account and project planning experience.
* Strong commercial management experience and contractual awareness in the delivery of construction projects.
