Role Details
As an H&S placement student at Mller, you will play an important role in identifying and implementing improvements to services provided by the Group Health, Safety, and Environment (GHSE) function. This position will help you develop innovation and analytical skills, while making a real impact across the business.
You will assist in developing, implementing, and supporting the site Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) plan in alignment with Mllers strategic goals. By promoting a positive H&S culture, you will help guide the business in legal health and safety compliance while contributing to the delivery of best-in-class EHS solutions using our business systems.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* HSE Systems Support: Help manage our UK-wide HSE software systems, supporting colleagues and streamlining processes across the business.
* Continuous Improvement Collaboration: Work with process owners, subject matter experts, and HSE specialists to identify and implement both short-term and long-term system improvements.
* Operational Support: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and performance data to support business decisions.
* Special Projects: Contribute to exciting initiatives like the rollout of a new web-based risk assessment tool across all UK business units.
* Innovation & Problem-solving: Bring fresh ideas and creative thinking to help us improve how we work and keep people safe.
* Collaborative Group Projects: Work with other placement students on a group project, developing your teamwork and problem-solving skills.
* Professional Development: Gain accredited Safety and Environmental qualifications during the programme, giving you a strong foundation for a future in health, safety, and sustainability.

* UK Driving License: Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least one year
