Role: Exams and Assessment Officer
Academy: Outwood Academy Acklam
Start Date: 01/09/2026
Salary: £28,598
Working Pattern: 37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday, Full Time
The purpose of this post is to ensure the accurate management and running of all examinations, and to maintain accurate pupil tracking data to assist leaders in raising standards.
Responsibilities
* Manage all administrative and operational aspects of examinations, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with JCQ regulations.
* Manage the MIS for entries, liaise with boards, oversee invigilation timetabling, and train/supervise invigilators.
* Manage the security and distribution of examination papers and results.
* Coordinate the student census, use 'Praising Stars' for pupil tracking, and undertake statistical analysis of assessment data and trends for departmental managers and SLT.
* Produce reports to identify underachieving students and provide all parents with student assessment data.
Qualifications
* A Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
* Experience with statistical analysis, management information, and data collection, and assisting or organising educational examinations.
* Effective communication skills, proficiency with standard ICT packages, particularly Excel, and ability to work well under pressure while managing competing deadlines.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to present data clearly.
* Experience with educational management information systems, including SIMS, is desirable.
