Are you ready to make a difference in public services? Our client is seeking a dedicated Supplies Operative to support the Supplies Manager and ensure the smooth operation of the supplies section. Role Purpose:
As a Supplies Operative, you will play a vital role in receiving, checking, and recording all goods delivered to the section. You will also assist in issuing supplies as requested and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
What You'll Do:
Maintain and administer the Stores IT systems for efficient operations.
Assist the Supplies Manager with clerical duties, including raising purchase orders and progressing orders.
Perform stock checks, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy.
Collate information from the section or computer systems as required.
Support the Supplies Manager in their absence to ensure continuity.
Fit uniforms for all staff and advise on the maintenance of uniforms.
Monitor stock levels, making necessary adjustments, and organise movement of stocks.
Ensure a tidy and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety policies.
Assist in training new staff on the computer system.Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process customer and visitor enquiries while maintaining security.
Check documentation for requisitions and stock availability.
Prepare goods for despatch and complete necessary documentation.
Undertake general stores maintenance, ensuring a safe working area.
Promote equal opportunities and health and safety in all service delivery.Who We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Warehouse/Supplies or Customer Service.
Minimum GCSE in English and Maths.
Basic IT and keyboard skills, with experience in processing orders.
Ability to lift and handle equipment safely.
Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and customers.
Previous experience in a similar environment is essential.What We Offer:
