We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Revenues and Benefit Contact Centre as a Customer Advisor 1, on a full permanent basis.
This opportunity presents one vacancy. Working 37 hours per week.
Working hours will be Monday to Thursday either 8:30am to 4:30pm or 9:30am to 5:30pm and Friday either 8:30am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 4:30pm.
The Contact Centre is extremely customer focused, providing support and advice to residents and businesses of the East Riding.
The Customer Advisor role ensures that every customer contact counts. We require someone with excellent communication and organisations skills, along with a good level of interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Successful candidates will be working within a team, whilst being able to demonstrate commitment, flexibility and deal with complex legislation and procedures.
Proficient keyboard skills are essential along with being committed to high standards of customer service. You must be able to communicate effectively and courteously, whilst working as part of an extremely busy team, attaining to daily key performance indicators.
Experience in council tax, benefits and council rents are not essential as training will be given, however a demonstration of some knowledge in any of those areas would be greatly beneficial to your application.
Working in a busy telephone environment is also an advantage but not essential.

Please note: This is a career graded post starting as a Customer Advisor 1 (4b). There maybe the opportunity to progress to a Customer Advisor 2 (5a) once eligible criteria have been met and there is the requirement for this.
This role also involves working from home with days in the office environment.
