GROUP HEAD OF FRANCHISE
Recruiting on behalf of a leading, award‑winning automotive group
Pybus Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a highly successful, multi-franchise automotive group recognised for excellence across the industry – including BYD Retailer of the Year, EVA accreditation at all sites, Ford President’s Award wins and DEI Gold Standard status within the Diversity Framework. Their teams have also achieved Ford Dealer Marketing Team of the Year (twice), OMODA|JAECOO Marketing Team of the Year and Global Brand Awards.
We are supporting them in the search for an exceptional Group Head of Franchise to lead Sales performance across all OEM brands, spanning both Passenger Vehicle (PV) and Commercial Vehicle (CV).
Reporting to the Board of Directors, this influential role will oversee franchise operations, delivering the Sales strategy, growth and profitability across a multi-brand network. The successful candidate will champion brand consistency, customer experience excellence and strong, long‑term relationships with OEM partners including Ford, BYD, OMODA|JAECOO and Maxus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and execute the Sales strategy across PV and CV, providing clear direction for Sales Managers and driving performance, growth and revenue across all sites and brands.
• Build strong senior-level relationships with OEM partners, influencing allocation, support and flexibility while protecting Group profitability. Act as the primary point of contact with all OEM brands.
• Work closely with Sales Managers to coach and develop high-performing teams, identifying training needs and upskilling opportunities to deliver an exceptional sales experience. Use data and insight (volumes, margins, F&I, EV mix, stock, NPS/CSI, OEM scorecards and KPIs) to guide decision‑making and implement corrective action.
• Challenge and support Sales Managers with a solutions‑focused approach, clear expectations and robust action plans.
• Collaborate with the Head of Used Vehicle Sales to align stock requirements and ensure optimal performance across the Group.
• Implement and enhance standardised sales processes that deliver a compliant, seamless customer experience while maximising revenue and sustainable profit.
• Lead the Group’s approach to EV and new‑energy transition, ensuring sales targets, profitability and OEM EV qualification metrics are achieved across all brands.
• Work closely with Marketing, CX and senior site leaders to integrate online and showroom customer journeys – enquiry management, digital experience, remote/video selling, lead follow‑up and conversion.
• Champion a high‑performance culture and drive talent development: attract, develop and retain high-calibre, diverse leaders and teams; promote coaching and best-practice sharing; strengthen performance management; and build a strong internal succession pipeline.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal and OEM requirements, including FCA, Consumer Duty, financial promotions, add-ons, GDPR and robust controls on pricing, discounting and documentation.
