This is a new role for the practice and it has been created to help the Practice Manager run the GP surgery. As this is a new post we are looking for a candidate with a good work ethic who will slot in with the current friendly practice team. The work can be challenging but very rewarding. You will be office based and have limited interaction with patients but you must be willing to attend meetings outside of the premises in the event the Practice Manager is unable to attend. If you like office work and are okay on computers then this maybe the job for you. We can be flexible up to a point with your shifts and usually try to accommodate any changes required for events you may wish to attend eg School Sports Day. If this sounds like it would interest you we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The main part of the role will involve supporting the Practice Manager with her workload and Deputising for her when she is not available. Full training will be given so please do not worry if you have not done this type of role before.
Ideally we would like someone with experience of working in a GP practice with supervisory or managerial experience and using SystmOne, as this knowledge will help when you receive your training, but it is not essential so please do not let the lack of these put you off applying.
Please see the job description for further details.
About us
The practice has a lot of long standing members of staff from the reception through to the nursing team. All of the staff are very friendly and as well as working great together, we spend time together outside doing different events and this makes for great teamwork. The staff work hard and we are proud of all of them and they have not only won awards and recognition in the past but another 5 members of staff are due to receive spotlight awards from Healthwatch this week. As a member of the team you will be made to feel appreciated for your hard work.
We are based in Central Middlesbrough in one of the practices in the Health Centre on top of the Cleveland Shopping Centre so easy to get to. There is parking available on-site at a reduced rate or there is plenty of off-site parking within walking distance. We are in Middlesbrough town centre so there are great rail and bus links as well.
