Our client a highly successful and privately owned specialist glazing company is seeking an exceptional Finance Director to join its senior leadership team at a pivotal stage of growth.
With an established reputation in the manufacture and supply of accredited windows, doors, and specialist glazing systems, the business operates across both the social housing refurbishment sector and the new build construction industry. The company currently turns over £16 million and is forecasting 25% growth next year, creating a significant opportunity for a commercially focused FD to help shape the next phase of expansion.
This is far more than a traditional finance role. We are looking for a strategic, hands-on finance leader who can operate as a true business partner to the Managing Director and leadership team — helping drive performance, scalability, profitability, and long-term value creation.
The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
* The Finance Director will lead and develop the finance function across all areas of the business
* Deliver robust financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow management
* Provide strategic financial insight to support business growth and operational efficiency
* Partner with the senior management team to drive commercial decision-making
* Support growth initiatives, investment planning, and potential acquisitions
* Strengthen systems, controls, and financial processes to support scale
* Manage banking relationships, auditors, and external advisors
* Produce meaningful KPI reporting and management information
* Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance
About You
We are seeking an experienced Finance Director or an ambitious senior finance professional ready to step into a broader strategic leadership role.
You will ideally bring:
* Qualified accountant status (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience within manufacturing, construction, building products, or related sectors
* Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability
* Experience operating within owner-managed or entrepreneurial businesses
* A hands-on approach combined with board-level credibility
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* The ability to thrive in a fast-moving growth environment
Experience within the glazing, fenestration, construction products, or social housing sectors would be an advantage, but not essential.
