Sea Logistics Business Development Manager
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to strengthen our team!
Your Role
Sea Logistics Sales are the business development arm of our Customer Care team. You will spend most of the time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business as well as working closely with the Customer Care colleagues.
Your Responsibilities
* Initiate contact with potential and current customers to generate and qualify leads, promote the company's products and services, and identify sales opportunities.
* Develop and maintain relationships with prospective Sea Logistics customers through face-to-face engagement.
* Create solutions for customers based on their requirements.
* Make pricing decisions in coordination with internal stakeholders.
* Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations.
* Record customer activities in CRM systems to meet activity targets.
* Build a portfolio of new business customers with a focus on growth and profitability.
* Contribute to UK organizational growth by meeting volume targets.
Your Skills and Experiences
* Experience in freight forwarding is preferred.
* Strong drive, assertiveness, and effective communication skills.
* Friendly approach with the ability to influence and persuade.
* Ability to build customer relationships and develop sales leads.
* Effective time management and proactive planning.
* Strong internal networking skills.
* Ability to understand customer needs and develop solutions.
* A valid driving license is essential.
