Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9.00am till 5.00pm
Salary: £15,600 per annum

Overview of Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Apprentice to join our team. Working within the Finance Department at our Head Office, we're looking for someone with an unwavering eye for detail, solutions focused and with an ability to maintain a calm approach under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in accounting who wants hands‑on experience while working towards a recognised qualification. You’ll gain exposure to core finance processes, supplier management, and invoice processing in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process supplier stock, Overheads and subcontractor invoices.
2. Gain approval for purchase invoices from relevant budget holder and process high volume invoices
3. Assist with reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
4. Respond to supplier and sub-contractors queries professionally and escalate issues when needed
5. Learn and apply accounting principles as part of your apprenticeship programme
6. Analysing Data
7. Using Clients portal and internal systems to invoice
8. Liaising with Clients, Departmental Managers and Engineers
Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
10. Good numerical skills and confidence working with figures
11. Willingness to learn and develop new skills
12. Clear communication and a professional approach
13. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
14. Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Qualifications & Requirements
15. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
16. Eligibility to enrol on an accounting or finance apprenticeship
17. No prior finance experience required—just enthusiasm and a positive attitude
