Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria • Registered with the GMC with a licence to practise • MB ChB or equivalent • MRCP or equivalent • Basic Medical Degree Desirable criteria • MD/PhD Clinical Experience Essential criteria • Broad Training in general Cardiology • Extensive specialist training in devices and/or electrophysiology (final year or post-CCT or equivalent) Desirable criteria • BHRS or IBHRE accreditation in Devices/EP • Sub-specialty training in heart failure or Devices ICC Research Essential criteria • Ability to critically assess published research and incorporate it into clinical practice where appropriate • Basic understanding of research methods and statistics Desirable criteria • Publications in Peer reviewed journals.
