This role offers hands-on experience in behaviour support, mental health interventions, and neurodiverse learning strategies.
Position: Aspiring Assistant Psychologist
Location: Kempston
Salary: £90 - £110 a day
Start Date: Immediate or September
Sector: Education and Training
Contract: Full-time, term time only (Mon-Fri)
Responsibilities
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties, and more
* Collaborate with Educational Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, and SENCOs
* Gain real-world experience in behaviour analysis, emotional regulation, and inclusive learning practices
* Support school-based interventions and contribute to student outcomes under supervision
Qualifications
* A recent Psychology graduate (or Criminology with psychology interest) in or around Kempston
* Passionate about mental health, child development, and educational support
* Empathetic, resilient, and proactive in supporting vulnerable students
* Previous experience with SEN or children is a plus — but the right attitude matters most!
