We’re shaking up the beauty scene at Boots, and our Beauty Specialists are leading the charge. This isn’t your average retail role – it’s a unique position at the heart of our beauty halls, where you’ll connect with customers and guide them to the best skincare, makeup and hair products for their needs. You’ll share honest, expert advice and help customers find what really works for them – all whilst driving sales through genuine, feel-good service. Whether it’s a glow up or a game changing product, you’ll be part of making every customer feel their absolute best.
Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you’ll work across all premium/luxury beauty brands, offering expert, unbiased advice to customers giving them the best experience in store.
* This is a sales-based role. You'll have targets to meet and we’re about working as a team (not competing against each other for sales!) so you won’t be on performance-based commission. Instead, we provide up to £1000 annual product allowance for you personally test, love and recommend our products.
* You will interact with lots of customers with a variety of needs throughout the day, using your sales and communication skills.
* Keep the premium beauty hall and make up counters looking their best, ensuring all counters and testers are well stocked, cleaned and tidied throughout the day.
* Access to expert hands-on training with premium brands in store, plus a comprehensive learning programme through our online platform to build beauty expertise.
* Attend our conferences (virtual and in-person) for an immersive education experience.
* Opportunities to get involved with creating social media content, supporting events, or taking part in exciting campaigns.
What you'll need to have
* Enthusiasm & passion for make-up, skincare and haircare
* A warm, approachable manner and the confidence to start conversations with customers
* A passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets or goals
* Ability to work at pace
* Good communication skills with the ability to understand customer needs
* A proactive approach to learning about new products, techniques, and services
It would be great if you also have
* Experience working towards sales or targets in beauty retail
* A creative flair or interest in social content

Information about the role
We are now recruiting Boots Beauty Specialists for our Harrogate, Cambridge Street store. We are looking for candidates to join us onwards and who can be flexible to meet our customers needs. Your basic hours will be 30 hours per week, and your days of work will be across Monday to Sunday so full flexibility is needed. The exact shift patterns will be discussed at interview stage.
