Role Overview:
Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about quality? We’re looking for a Finishing Operator to join our Machine Shop team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll play a key role in cleaning, packaging, and processing finished components to ensure they meet our high standards. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment where precision and teamwork are essential.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…
1. Operating cleaning machines and performing tasks such as washing, deburring, and packaging components.
2. Ensuring excellent product quality and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
3. Maintaining workplace organisation, equipment cleanliness, and supporting front-line operator asset care (FLOAC).
4. Complying with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) practices and company core values.
5. Actively engaging in continuous improvement initiatives and contributing ideas.
6. Supporting other duties as required and driving your own personal development plan.
Your previous experience is likely to include….
7. Working in a production environment with basic computer skills.
8. Understanding the commercial impact of your role within the department.
9. Familiarity with wash machines, deburring and finishing tools, and press defect identification.
10. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
11. Basic to intermediate Excel skills.
