With our dedicated airside fleet and driving team, GBA Logistics offers a uniquely transparent one-stop-shop in aviation logistics. We provide customer-tailored services including domestic and international scheduled transport; freight management; UK & European aircraft-on-ground (AOG) dedicated transport; and inventory management. Key Responsibilities We don’t micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done. This job involves trunking to and from our Luton hub. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches – but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you. You’ll: Make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, get to our hubs in a safe & secure condition on time. At the start of your shift your vehicle will be pre-loaded so you can complete your checks and be on your way without delay Upon arrival at our Manchester Hub, you will be required to load/unload yourself with assistance from other warehouse/driver teams and again upon return to your base hub of Luton, Scanning consignments and using pallet trucks will be required (we can also support forklift training). Inspect your vehicle and trailer every day, and complete a Defect Report, if necessary, via app. Make sure everything is ‘right first time’ for your customers/colleagues, all the teamwork for each other to make everyone’s working environment less stressful. A great communicator, you’ll keep customers happy, and make sure any queries you can’t answer are passed on to your site manager quickly. You Class 2 Driving licence Full, UK Driving License with less than 6 points.
