Location: Perth
Contract: Permanent / Full time / 40hrs per week / Hybrid Available after 3 months employment
Job purpose: Engineer responsible for the investigation, design and delivery of a range of road improvement projects on the NW Unit as part of an annual programme of investment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of trunk road improvements ranging in value from circa £50,000 to £1.0M
* Apply engineering expertise and sound judgement to the investigation and design of trunk road improvement projects
* Prepare detailed reports, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and pre‑construction information
* Support internal contractor teams and external procurement and tendering processes
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Professionally qualified, or on a clear pathway to becoming professionally qualified
* Experience with AutoCAD Software (essential)
* Working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (essential)
* Experience with Civil 3D software and design packages such as KeySigns, KeyLines, etc. is desirable
* Experience with Construction, Design and Management Regulations
* Good communication skills
* Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
* A valid UK driving licence is required
