Engage Education is looking for a dedicated Special Needs Support Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Peacehaven, East Sussex.
This full-time, long-term position starts ASAP and continues until the end of the academic year. For the right candidate, there is also the option to apply for a permanent contract. While Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants and those with SEN experience are desired, it's not essential. The daily pay for this rewarding role ranges from £85 to £95, depending on experience.
Role Details:
* Position: Special Needs Support Assistant
* Location: Peacehaven, East Sussex
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)
* Possibility of a Permanent Contract in the future.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically Autism, mental health support, or support work.
* Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants are desired but not essential.
Role Responsibilities:
* Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs.
* Assisting in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Collaborating with classroom teachers and SENCo to implement individualised education plans.
* Monitoring and tracking student progress and providing timely feedback and support.
* Offering emotional and behavioural support to students with a focus on their well-being.
