Senior Brand Manager – Specialist Rare Lipid Launch (UK)
* Hybrid – Cambridge (1 day per week minimum)
Our client is a science-led, international biopharmaceutical organisation with a strong heritage in rare and complex diseases. As part of an exciting UK growth phase, the business is establishing a dedicated Business Unit to support the launch of an innovative therapy across two closely related specialist lipid indications within a high-unmet-need metabolic disease area.
Reporting directly to the Business Unit Director, this Senior Brand Manager will take full responsibility for UK strategy and execution across both indications, shaping positioning, launch readiness and lifecycle optimisation within a specialist secondary care setting.
Operating at the intersection of rare disease, advanced lipid biology and specialist cardiometabolic care, this role requires strong scientific credibility, NHS insight and proven UK launch experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver UK launch strategy across two aligned specialist lipid indications
* Translate global strategy into locally relevant, insight-led tactical plans
* Lead cross-functional planning across Medical, Market Access, Sales and Regulatory
* Drive launch readiness and field force preparation
* Develop compliant, data-driven promotional materials
* Manage brand budget, performance analytics and optimisation
* Support engagement with specialist HCPs, congresses and scientific stakeholders
* Contribute to annual brand planning and long-term lifecycle strategy
* This is a highly visible role within a newly created Business Unit, offering meaningful ownership and accountability during a critical dual-indication UK launch.
Candidate Profile
To be considered, you must demonstrate:
* Recent UK launch experience in specialty pharmaceuticals
* Proven brand management experience within a closely aligned therapy area (advanced lipid disorders, triglyceride management, novel lipid-modifying therapies, or specialist cardiometabolic disease)
* Experience operating within hospital-led or specialist care environments
* Strong understanding of NHS market access and compliance frameworks
* Ability to translate complex clinical data into clear, actionable commercial strategy
* Confidence working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority
* Given the specificity of the launch and therapy area, we are particularly interested in speaking with marketers who have delivered recent UK launches within advanced lipid, rare metabolic or specialist cardiometabolic indications.
