Higher Level Teaching Assistant Required (Woking):
Contract: Term time, temporary contract (linked to funding for a specific child)
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Pay: £(Apply online only)/day (based on 6.5 working hours)
Hours: 16.25 hours a week (working pattern TBC)
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a part-time HLTA. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in school with children with complex and severe learning difficulties and ASD. You will be willing to undertake appropriate training, under the supervision of an external ABA consultant, to support a pupil’s intensive behaviour programme (Applied Behaviour Analysis – ABA).
You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, attending meetings, liaising with professionals, preparing resources, recording detailed observations and behaviour data, and contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
-Support the teacher in raising achievement for all pupils, particularly those with
-SEND
-Assist with planning and assessment to monitor pupil progress
-Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and professionals
-Supervise pupils during lunch and break times
Requirements:
-Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
-GCSE Grade C in English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
-Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a specialist school with children with complex and severe learning difficulties and ASD
