WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

ThePlatform Engineer will be instrumental in both individual contributions and supporting team efforts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet our global business needs.
In this role you will:
1. Design, develop and support robust, scalable, and resilient cloud-native systems using microservice architecture principles to support international deployment.
2. Drive the enhancement and improvements of our platform's infrastructure, focusing on automation, deployment, and monitoring processes to improve performance and reliability.
3. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers, promoting a culture of learning and knowledge exchange within the team.
4. Act as a technical lead on projects, ensuring best practices and engineering excellence aremaintained.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine platform requirements, translating complex business needs into practical technical solutions.
6. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of high-impact production issues, ensuring systems are optimised and performant.
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, including CI/CD, automated testing, and security measures.
8. Engage in strategic discussions to help shape the platform's future direction and architecture, serving as a subject expert in platform engineering.
9. Collaboratewith our securityexpert to bring proactive security measures and practices into thedevelopmentlife cycle
Qualifications/Requirements
10. Extensive experience in platform engineering, particularly within cloud-native environments and utilising microservice architectures.
11. Advanced knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including hands-on experience withIaCtools such as Terraform.
12. Great knowledgeand experience with orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
13. Strong knowledge in networking, load balancing, and secure cloud practices.
14. Proventrack recordin designing and managing scalable, high-availability systems.
15. Detailed knowledge and experience of managing CI/CD pipelines.
16. Proficient with modern development and infrastructure automation tools.
17. Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of debugging andoptimizingcomplex distributed systems.
18. Effective communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
