As an Export Account Operator, you’ll be the key link between overseas customers, suppliers, warehouses, and freight partners—making sure high-quality chilled and ambient products reach global markets smoothly, compliantly, and on time. Export Account Operator acts as primary point of contact for export customers, building strong and lasting working relationships Receive and manage export orders from overseas customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness Coordinate the end-to-end ordering process to ensure export orders are supplied in full and on time Place orders with branded products Check inbound delivery notes and supplier invoices against purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies, shortages, or damages Develop strong relationships with suppliers and proactively manage supply challenges Liaise closely with the warehouse to meet shipment deadlines for chilled and ambient airfreight exports Book inbound stock and prepare sales invoices using SAP Prepare and issue all required export documentation Work with consular service providers to obtain certified and legalised export documents Submit APHA and HMI applications for produce shipments Complete export declarations with HMRC using ASM Sequoia Make bookings and maintain ongoing communication with freight forwarders Keep customers fully informed with accurate shipment updates Authorise purchase invoices for payment Maintain organised correspondence files for each export customer Complete shipment costings to monitor gross margin performance and invoice statusWhy This Role Is Exciting Exposure to international exports and global supply chains A varied role combining customer service, logistics, compliance, and finance Real responsibility and ownership of shipments from order to delivery Opportunity to build strong relationships across suppliers, customers, and logistics partners A dynamic environment where no two days are the same
