Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic, committed, and proactive individuals to join our expanding Children’s Residential Service as Assistant Managers. You will work in one of our new homes for children and young people aged 8-17 with social and emotional needs, supporting their development and well-being.
The role involves overseeing the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and relevant legislation, supervising staff, and deputising for the Registered Manager when necessary. You will be part of a supportive management team with opportunities for personal and professional growth, including training in Therapeutic Parenting with PACE and leadership development.
Responsibilities
* Manage and support staff, including supervision and appraisals
* Monitor, review, and audit systems to ensure compliance with Ofsted and legislation
* Support children and young people’s emotional health and well-being
* Assist in the development of the service and staff training
Qualifications and Experience
* Over 21 years of age
* At least 2 years’ experience working with children and young people, preferably in residential care
* NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children and Young People or equivalent
* Diploma Level 4 or above preferred; support available to achieve Level 5 Leadership & Management
