Job Description

As a Software Engineer in one of our 30 engineering platforms operating at hyper-scale receiving thousands of requests per second, you'll work as part of strong cross functional agile team driving quality and technology, sharing your skills and mentoring other engineers day to day. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Customer Communications team and help build fast, scalable, and user-focused communications. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining data-centric backend services using .NET and Azure, deploying solutions, and implementing strong personalisation. Working closely with our ASOS tech teams, frontend developers, and product teams, you'll play a key role in shaping the technical foundation of our customer communications initiatives—optimising message delivery, performance, and content personalisation to ensure we're reaching customers with the right message at the right time. With around 5000 new products going live every week there is huge scope to provide capabilities which allow our colleagues to improve their efficiency and make more effective decisions driving a better product offer to our fashion loving twentysomething customers. Our approach to development focuses heavily on pair programming, TDD and Continuous Delivery. What our day looks like:
Responsibilities
* Work as part of an enthusiastic and motivated agile development team that takes pride in delivering high-quality software into production.
* Take a test first approach from business requirements through to code.
* You will continually develop and improve our code and technology, playing a key role in the team.
* Write high quality code to drive company growth and effectiveness of the buying and merchandising teams who use our software.
* Join our regular Tech Develops days to learn new things, take part in internal and external hackathons, share your knowledge and help to drive improvements in engineering.
* Support our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Qualifications
* Experience with software delivery in an iterative, continuous delivery environment that ships value frequently.
* Experience integrating with 3rd parties.
* Experience building applications with latest versions of .NET Framework, .NET Standard and .NET Core (C#).
