A bit about what you will do...
The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing all bar operations, ensuring exceptional beverage quality, service standards and profitability. This role leads the bar team, develops beverage programs, manages inventory and costs, and delivers a dynamic guest experience that complements the restaurant’s concept and brand.
* Lead by example in daily bar operations, fostering a positive team culture and ensuring consistently high standards of service aligned with brand and LQA requirements.
* Monitor bar performance through guest feedback, quality standards, and financial results, taking corrective action where necessary.
* Develop and implement beverage strategies, menus, and service initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction, loyalty, and overall experience.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures to maximise profitability and minimise waste within the bar operation.
* Plan and execute beverage promotions, seasonal offerings, and collaborations with culinary teams to drive revenue and guest engagement.
* Manage inventory, ordering, storage, stock rotation, and cellar organisation to maintain optimal stock levels and quality standards.
* Participate in daily briefings, handovers, and departmental meetings to ensure effective communication and a seamless guest experience.
* Communicate and enforce all policies and procedures relating to alcohol licensing, health and safety, pouring measures, and age verification.
* Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staffing levels in line with business needs and payroll budgets.
* Engage with guests and address feedback or concerns promptly, professionally, and attentively.
* Coach, train, and develop the team to deliver consistently high standards of service, while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.

* Solid understanding of financial performance, budgeting, cost control, and profit and loss.
* Thorough knowledge of alcohol licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and compliance standards.
* Proven experience in recruiting, training, coaching, and managing bar or hospitality teams.
* Approachable, positive, and flexible attitude with a strong sense of teamwork.
Impeccable personal presentation, grooming, and professionalism at all times.
* Proven track record in a similar role within an upscale or luxury hotel or restaurant environment.
* Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
* Excellent standard of spoken and written English.
* Experience working with established brand standards and contributing to a luxury brand image.
