We are partnering with a highly respected independent insurance broker in Essex seeking an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join their growing team.
This opportunity would suit an Executive who enjoys building long-term client relationships and delivering exceptional advice across a broad range of commercial risks. This is a business that genuinely places client experience ahead of sales targets, focusing on quality relationships, retention and trusted advice over aggressive KPI-driven environments.
You will inherit and develop a portfolio of clients whilst identifying opportunities to grow accounts organically through outstanding service and trusted partnerships.
The Role
As a Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of commercial clients across a broad range of industries and risk types throughout Essex and the surrounding areas. You will work closely with clients to understand their businesses, provide tailored insurance solutions and ensure an exceptional client journey from initial engagement through to renewal.
You will have the autonomy to manage relationships in a way that prioritises client outcomes, supported by a collaborative broking and technical team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
* Deliver a consultative and relationship-led approach to client management
* Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service
* Handle a broad range of cross-class commercial insurance risks
* Identify opportunities for account growth through client needs and relationship development
* Conduct client meetings, renewals and insurance programme reviews
* Work closely with insurers to secure appropriate cover and competitive terms
* Provide tailored advice and solutions aligned to clients’ commercial requirements
* Ensure high levels of client retention through service excellence rather than hard sales
* Collaborate with internal broking and support teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
About You

* Proven experience as a Commercial Account Executive within an insurance broking environment
* Strong cross-class commercial insurance experience
* A relationship-led and client-centric approach
* Experience managing and developing commercial client accounts
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* The ability to build trust and develop long-term partnerships
* A consultative mindset focused on understanding client needs rather than transactional selling
* A network within the Essex commercial market would be advantageous, though not essential
* Drive, professionalism and a passion for delivering outstanding customer outcomes
