Software Engineer role at Van Arendonk Makelaardij. Portsmouth site with hybrid working patterns available. This role is 37 hours per week based at PTP, Portsmouth.
Role Summary
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering larger complex software tasks as directed to support the delivery of projects across software in support of the Naval Combat Systems Integration Support Service.
Day-to-day, you’ll be undertaking tasks of increasing complexity, requiring the ability to consider the problem, derive a range of potential solutions, and decide on the best course of action.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Software Design & Development of complex projects
* Following corporate software development processes
* Adhering to the relevant coding standards whilst investigating and fixing software defects
* Participating in code reviews and producing user documentation
* Communicating with the immediate team and the wider enterprise
* Contributing to a positive and inclusive team environment
Essential Experience Of The Software Engineer
* A strong background with relevant software development experience
* Strong Core experience in C#/ .NET
* Previous experience in Frontend development using React or Typescript
* Working knowledge of messaging/queuing systems e.g Kafka, RabbitMQ
Essential Qualifications For The Software Engineer
* Degree level qualification or equivalent experience

This role is based at Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP). Hybrid working patterns are available.
