Job Overview
The Together for Families directorate supports children and families within Cornwall. This part‑time permanent role provides reception and administrative support at Caradon and North Cornwall Family Hubs supporting the Family Help Service.
Working Patterns
* Position 1: 30 hours a week, Tuesday–Friday
* Position 2: 18.5 hours a week, fortnightly rota (Week 1: Thursday & Friday; Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)
Responsibilities
* Provide reception cover, welcome visitors and manage room bookings via email and telephone.
* Maintain high‑quality records, organised filing systems and manage tight deadlines.
* Support operational colleagues and ensure timely communication with service users and partner agencies.
* Cover other Family Hub buildings in the locality as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* 4 GCSEs (A‑C) including English and Maths.
* Excellent keyboard skills and significant experience with general office procedures and reception tasks.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise with all levels of professional staff, service users and agencies.
* Professional approach applying discretion and diplomacy.
* Flexibility and ability to work to deadlines in a busy team environment.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Statutory English language requirement for public sector workers.
* Position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
