SEN Teaching Assistant - Blackpool

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team in Blackpool from 1st June 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting their academic, social, and emotional development within a nurturing learning environment.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs. You may support students on a one-to-one basis or within small groups, helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom experience.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and group support to pupils with SEN
Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
Support pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN support (desirable)
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
