Your new companyOperating both in the UK and across the world, they are a leading contractor delivering projects across multiple sectors including; real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water.Your new roleYou will join one of the leading highway development projects in the Norfolk area. You will be part of an ever-expanding team including Project managers and Site Engineers. Your duties will include:
* Supervise, mentor, and train the site team to ensure they perform their duties effectively and grow in their roles.
* Provide regular guidance and support to direct reports, contributing to their annual goal-setting and tracking their development progress throughout the year.
* Foster strong communication and collaboration across engineers, supervisors, enabling functions, designers, and client representatives to ensure alignment and smooth project delivery.
* Coordinate with supply chain partners early in the process to develop practical, buildable design solutions that minimise the need for changes during construction.
* Proactively identify and raise construction-related issues within the delivery team.
* Escalate concerns appropriately to ensure timely and effective resolution, maintaining project momentum
What you'll need to succeed
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, or an HND in Civil Engineering complemented by relevant vocational training.
* In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and widely used construction methodologies.
* Practical understanding of temporary works, including their design, implementation, and management.
* Familiarity with construction contract frameworks, particularly ECC NEC4, is supported by both formal training and hands-on experience.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across technical and non-technical backgrounds.
