The Lead Teacher will head the Flexible Learning Outreach Team, line‑manage three support workers and coordinate packages of support for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) and their families. The role involves delivering inclusive, person‑centred support across Clackmannanshire, working closely with schools, families and multi‑agency partners to co‑create tailored support packages. Key responsibilities include:
* Lead and support a team of three workers in the delivery of flexible, responsive interventions within education settings, family homes and the community.
* Collaborate with schools, families and external agencies to design and implement individualised support plans.
* Contribute to the development of the ASD team model and promote innovative, responsive practice.
* Ensure all interventions meet the needs of each child or young person and align with natural learning environments.
Required qualifications and experience:
* Registered GTCS teacher with appropriate specialist experience in working with children/young people with NDD.
* Experience in team leadership and coordination of support services.
* Strong knowledge of inclusive education practices and collaborative approaches.
This is a regulated role under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007; a PVG Scheme check will be required prior to offer. A fee will be deducted from pay if the salary exceeds £38,000 per annum.
Clackmannanshire Council offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement for this role; attendance at the office will be required for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration. Details of the working pattern will be agreed during the recruitment process.
