Overview
A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a happy and friendly young boy, both in his own home and in time taking him out to play areas and into the local community. The young boy loves puzzles and being outdoors but needs constant supervision to keep him safe. The role also involves some personal care and support and encouragement at mealtimes. We are looking for an individual with a caring and friendly manner who has either a lived experience or work experience of SEN children. Having own transport with business insurance is an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to the young boy at home and during outings in the local community, ensuring his safety and well-being.
* Offer personal care and support, and encouragement at mealtimes.
* Support with activities that promote puzzles, outdoor play, and engagement in age-appropriate tasks.
* Be a patient, caring, and friendly presence with the child and family.
Qualifications
* Caring and friendly manner with experience or lived experience of SEN children.
* Own transport with business insurance is an advantage but not essential.
Role details
* Part-time position averaging 5 hours per week (4 hours term time and 8 hours non-term time).
* Hours mainly on weekends or occasional evenings.
* Hourly rate £12.50 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave.
* Employer flexible with days worked by negotiation.
