An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Nursing Assistant within our Specialist Autism Inpatient Service. We are offering 3 fixed-term contracts to support our current Nursing team. It is essential that the post holder demonstrates excellent values and attitudes, along with skills and experience in working with Autistic people.

Main duties of the job
The Nursing Assistant role will aim:
* To work within a multidisciplinary team assisting in developing and implementing collaborative, needs-based care plans.
* To support the team in providing excellent, effective, person-centred nursing care.
* To be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.
* To be visible and accessible to patients, families, and carers, working together to ensure an efficient, effective, and caring service.
* To contribute to achieving performance indicators, essential standards, and quality outcomes.
* To deliver and maintain high standards of clinical care, implementing individual care plans based on person-centred assessments.
* To provide compassionate care founded on empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity.
* To assist in delivering therapeutic clinical interventions and activities tailored to individual needs, embracing equality and diversity.
* To engage in regular family and carer contact/support to encourage collaborative decision-making.
* To have the courage to speak out, challenge, and help inform the future of nursing care.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Senior Healthcare Support Worker or a commitment to work towards this qualification.
Knowledge and Experience
* Skills and experience in supporting and working with Autistic people.
* Experience in person-centred care.
* PMVA certification or willingness to obtain it.
Skills and Competencies
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good time management.
* Proficiency in English, Maths, and ICT functional skills.
