Primary Class Teacher - SEMH (Sussex)

Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment that supports students as learners.
* Plan, resource, and deliver stimulating and enjoyable lessons for primary aged students.
* Supervise Teaching Assistants within the classroom to enhance educational delivery.
* Offer quality feedback to students to foster rapid and sustained progress.
* Contribute to the development of literacy skills across the school.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning in collaboration with the Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning.
* Engage in regular assessments to monitor progress, set targets, and implement necessary interventions.
* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding progress, disciplinary actions, and other relevant information.
* Ensure accurate student data management to enhance teaching effectiveness.
* Support school management in promoting a positive educational culture and implementing change.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teaching Status.
* Experience in teaching young people aged between 7-111.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs.
* Knowledge of the KS1 - KS2 National Curriculum.
* Effective lesson planning and behaviour management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Highly skilled in delivering diverse teaching strategies.
* Experience of organising and running extra-curricular activities (Desirable).
* A knowledge and understanding of Steiner Waldorf curriculum and ethos (Desirable).
* ICT competent (Desirable).
