We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant Key Stage 2 team. Experience working with children in Key Stage 2. Strong understanding of the primary curriculum. Ability to confidently lead a class in the absence of a teacher. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong behaviour management skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Teaching and Learning Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher. Support the planning and delivery of engaging, differentiated learning activities for Key Stage 2 pupils. Lead small group interventions to support progress across whole school. Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies. Classroom Support Work alongside teachers to support learning objectives and curriculum delivery. Prepare and organise learning resources and classroom materials. Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusive practice at all times. Behaviour and Pastoral Support Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policy. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development. Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers. Whole School Contribution Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities where required. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Contribute to school events, trips, and enrichment activities. Safeguarding The postholder will be expected to: Promote and safeguard the welfare of children at all times. Follow all school safeguarding and child protection policies. Undergo an enhanced DBS check.
