My client is seeking a talented and ambitious Group Finance Manager to join a dynamic, Logistics & Transportation business based in Central London. In this key leadership role, you will manage a team ensuring the accuracy of financial records across the Group and upholding a strong internal control environment. You’ll work closely with leadership, helping to shape financial processes, support group-wide planning and forecasting, and drive operational improvements within the finance function.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all finance and accounting operations. This includes overseeing the month-end process to ensure it is accurate, timely, and compliant, as well as preparing monthly financial reports with insightful commentary. In addition, you will lead and support the accounts payable team, ensuring suppliers are paid on time, and you will take ownership of VAT and annual Corporation Tax returns.
A key part of your role will involve driving continuous improvement in all transactional and key finance processes. You will also collaborate with the business to understand new product offerings, assessing their accounting and financial implications. Given the nature of this position, you will also handle significant ad hoc responsibilities and provide support to the Financial Controller as needed.
