I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 contractor with a strong national presence and an excellent secured order book. Due to continued growth and a steady pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering a variety of projects across defects remediation, fit-out, and modular construction. The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of projects from procurement through to final account. Working closely with the Senior QS and project teams, you will ensure strong cost control, contractual compliance, and financial performance across a range of schemes.
This role offers exposure to varied project types, providing excellent development opportunities within a Tier 1 environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the commercial management of projects

Subcontract procurement and administration
*
Processing subcontractor applications and payments
*
Managing variations and supporting agreement of final accounts
*
Preparing valuations and supporting client applications
*
Assisting with cost reporting and forecasting
*
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
*
Ensuring compliance with NEC/JCT contract conditions
Requirements
*
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
*
Experience working for a main contractor (or strong background within construction)
*
Exposure to fit-out, modular, refurbishment, or defects projects advantageous
*
Good understanding of standard forms of contract (NEC/JCT)
*
Strong communication and negotiation skills
*
Motivated, organised, and keen to progress within a Tier 1 contractor
